Health Equity: Cardiovascular Disease in WNY
Program Acceptance
Congratulations on your acceptance into the Health Equity Education summer program! We hope that you will find it to be a rewarding and educational experience as we examine social determinants of health, molecular biology, and genetics involved in cardiovascular disease. We’re thrilled to assist in your ideation of a solution to lowering cardiovascular disease rates in WNY. Save the date - you will present your solution to community leaders on Wednesday, August 23rd at 11:30 am.
The program takes place Monday – Thursday from 9am – 2pm from July 10th – August 24th .
Please note that the main location of this program is at Villa Maria College, but we will also be meeting at Hauptman Woodward Institute, Jacob’s Institute, BNMC, UB Medical Campus, Kaleida Health, Roswell Park, and Buffalo Museum of Science on specific dates. These will be provided in a calendar before the program begins.
If you would like to participate through Erie County Summer Youth, please be sure to request The Collaborative Center for Social Innovation for your worksite in your application with Erie County.
We ask that you confirm your participation in this program no later than Friday, May 12, 2023 by submitting the form below.
Conditions of the Agreement:
Participants will receive direct supervision by an appropriate supervisor.
All participants should demonstrate honesty, punctuality, courtesy, appropriate dress and a willingness to learn.
Participants will be responsible for transportation and bringing a lunch and water bottle each day.
Participants will be expected to obey the policies, rules, and regulations of the locations and comply with their practices and procedures.
